Webinar description:
The goals of the science presenter are to impart knowledge and enhance audience insight. Strategies in presentation development and delivery can play a critical role in how well these goals are met. This session will discuss tools and techniques - both conceptual and practical - that can make any session more impactful.
Learning Objectives:

At the end of the session participants will be able to:
1) describe shortcomings commonly found in presentations and presentation materials
2) discuss strategies to optimize presentation materials
3) enumerate techniques that speakers can employ to optimize verbal presentations

About the Speaker:
Neal Pollock holds a Research Chair in Hyperbaric and Diving Medicine and is an Associate Professor in Kinesiology at Université Laval in Québec, Canada. His academic training is in zoology, exercise physiology, and environmental physiology. His research interests focus on human health and safety in extreme environments, including decompression safety for both divers and astronauts. He is an editor emeritus of the journal Wilderness & Environmental Medicine. He lectures extensively, locally through internationally.
