Canadian Malnutrition Awareness Week™
October 3 to 7, 2022
Canadian Malnutrition Awareness Week™ is an educational and promotional campaign presented by the Canadian Malnutrition Task Force (CMTF), a standing committee of the Canadian Nutrition Society (CNS). Through a series of webinars delivered by leading experts and the creation of useful resources aimed at clinicians, and healthcare providers across multiple settings, we are excited to enhance the learning around malnutrition.
Malnutrition Awareness Week™ was established to educate healthcare professionals to identify and treat for malnutrition earlier, educate consumers/patients on the importance of discussing their nutrition status with healthcare professionals, and to increase awareness of nutrition’s role on patient recovery.
The theme for Canadian Malnutrition Awareness Week 2022 is “Malnutrition Care for All" with a focus on addressing specific strategies across various healthcare settings, including pediatrics, primary & community care, long term care and acute care. Thank you for helping us spread the word about this week and for your participation!
